Small Pots
Smalls average 3-4.5" high and 2.5-3" wide. Pieces are sized according to the starting weight of the clay used, so finished size depends on the type of clay and its moisture content, as well as natural variation due to the throwing process and the particular design. In general, dark clays tend to weigh more per volume compared to light clays because they contain more iron, so darker pots are usually slightly smaller than lighter ones.
